WP 5: Contribution to Sustainable Development Agenda

The objective of this Work Package is to identify and promote a set of policy and governance steps that will support and facilitate the introduction of the EID certification scheme and the SENSE-tool thus contributing to the further progression of the EU’s Sustainable Development Agenda for the food sector.

The Work Package will identify, collate, and integrate the innovations and their policy needs arising from WP 1-4. The policy needs are the policy opportunities and barriers and the policy steps, solutions and instruments identified as necessary to implement these innovations successfully.

WP 5 will incorporate food sector stakeholders (food industry, experts, NGOs and national, local/regional and EU officials) in an iterative process of consultations and workshop to agree a viable and practical policy and governance road map and policy recommendations for the successful implementation of these innovations in order to contribute the further attainment of the EU’s Sustainable Development Agenda for the food sector.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Seventh Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No 288974.
