New app “We eat water” in order to understand the water footprint of food

“We eat water”, an app specifically designed for the iPhone, which indicates the water footprint of food at the user level, or in other words, the amount of water needed to produce a food product. The application may be purchased for a nominal price of 0.79 euros, which will be donated to various associations such as Intermon or Unicef.

The "We are water" Foundation, since its inception, aims to raise awareness regarding the excessive water consumption used to produce different food products. Spending is largely used in the production process but with proper management it could be reduced, thus achieving lower water consumption.
